Bought some 18650 batteries for a new flashlight I got my wife for her birthday. Ordered them 7-25 and gave them to her on her birthday 8-3. She opend them to charge them tonight and one of them was missing the protective wrap. She sent a message to him and this is what i received.

How the hell do people continue to sell on eBay with that attitude.

I once bought a t-bucket chassis off of eBay from Ron Pope Motorsports. When it got here all the cuts were cut at an angle and couldn't be welded together without a lot of rework. I emailed him and politely asked him if we could work something out because the rails were cut wrong. He called me an asshole and said it wasn't his fault I didn't know how to weld. Apparently he is known in the gasser world for having a good straight axle kit. People keep recommending him to me and I kept telling them I don't do business with people who call me an asshole.

Did the guys account get hacked? Clearly the picture shows a green and black wrapper.

Based on experience... I would get eBay involved. They may solve the problem for you. If not, and you paid via PayPal, contact them. I recently had a similar eBay situation regarding a Powerextra drill battery. eBay referred me to PayPal and they refunded the full cost. I still have the battery although unsure as to whether or not it will hold a charge. Good Luck! :)

Here is a pic of the two batteries. It is hard to see but the one on the left has a clear wrap that protects the pcb and the other is missing

What a douche. Tell him when they arrive back to please verify they are 100% and to put them in his favorite dildo and go fawk himself...

Ebay will force him to make it right whether its a refund or replacement.Im sure they have already put a hold on the funds in his account.Right or wrong they will ALWAYS side w the buyer.

Ebay told me I have to wait until 17th to ask them to step in. But they said they will take action for him being an asshole. I have had to refrain from responding back and having my fun with him now. I did think about sending him a bag of dicks

You have a legit case but they allow people to return things for stupid reasons. They made me accept a return one time because the guy found the item cheaper and wanted to send mine back.I have spent hours on the phone w them, argued w anybody who half spoke English and even pulled all my items (about 150) for months and they don't give a shit about the sellers.

I actually had a good experience with that scenario. I probably have never sold as much as you on there though. A dude recently purchased some hub caps and we had some conversation before he bought about whether they would fit. I told him that I didn't know and he said he was willing to take a chance. Next thing I know, I get a return request from Ebay. Dude was a complete pecker head when I messaged him. He told me that Ebay would have to take care of it. They looked back through the messages and said I was in the right. I was surprised, but happy. I also, state that I do not take returns on the auction. Funny thing though, he mailed them back to me anyway. Paid $7 just to feel better, I guess.

I have had a couple issues with eBay. I always state no returns in the ad, but it doesn't really meant squat. Recently had to eat $150 in shipping charges ($60 there and $60 return) for a hub I sold that wasn't correct for the guys HMMWV. eBay had already taken the money out of my account and we're going to give him his $$ back ($888 including shipping) regardless if I had him return it or not. I went ahead and paid the return shipping. Luckily it was 'damaged' when it showed up so I filed a claim. I didn't want him to get his $$$ back (because he was an idiot and didn't read the ad), but there was nothing I could do. eBay gave us both the $$ though so I got the part back, (albeit 'damaged') and the $888.

I sold a used 6.5 turbo that had some slack in it,in the description I listed the slack and that it as being sold as CORE.Dude buys its and then wants his money back because it has slack in it.Because it didn't have the word CORE in the title, just the description, ebay said I didn't represent the item correctly and sided w him.Dude had bought it using his phone and never looked at the description just went by the title. The part that pisses me off soo bad is the folks that are making decisions on most of these cases don't even know what they are looking at,understand automotive jargon,or even speak good English.much less southern English.I literally had to explain what a "core" meant,in automotive terms,to the person who had already decided I had to refund the guys money. He didn't even know what a "Core" meant so how could he have made a informed decision on the claim. If you have "no returns" on your auctions that just means your gonna be out the part AND the money.Ebay WILL get the money. They will pull it out of any CC tied to your account or any card # you might have used before.

^^^thats why I quit doing anything on eBay. Instead of them hosting different sellers with different strategies or business plans, they have now set themselves as the ruler and judge and jury.

I’ve quit buying on there all together as well.

FYI, anytime dealing with eBay, make sure your PayPal account is not tied to a bank or CC. Transfer $$ from that account to another, be careful though if the account is not in a legitimate name, PayPal can and will lock it.

My account balance was negative for a few weeks while I sorted it out with them. Told them I wasn't paying the refund, I guess in the end I didn't.

In God we trust. All others pay cash
