I bought something from ebay and its becoming clear I'm not going to get it. The seller has good feedback but now they have stoped returning my e mails. I paid with a pay pal thats linked to a credit card. I'm new to the whole e bay thing. My question is would it be better to dispute with pay pal or my credit card company?
 
I believe pay pal. Good thing you used a credit card as they can refund your money. If you used a debit card the money was gone. I lost $400 on a toyota elocker by using a debit card through paypal when I didn't get the item.
 
I lost a small amount of $$ on ebay, and couldnt dispute it with my credit card. Maybe if it was more than $50 I would have had better luck. Discover card basically told me to fawk off, the transactions I requested from them was successful, Discover--Paypal. Paypal was no help, and ebay doesnt really get too involved. This was before ebay bought/merged paypal, it could be different now.

I'd dispute it with everyone possible, definitley hit up your credit card company, at least you'll speak with someone from USA. Good luck with paypal, rajeesh the paypal customer service guy could care less.
 
I have filed a dispute with paypal before and promptly received my item after speaking with the seller and letting him know that I would be getting my money back if he didn't send the item.
 
Paypal used to limit the number of disputes to 2 and limited the dollar amount. This may have changed since I last needed to dispute something. I went through my CC company and received a nearly immediate credit on my account. No questions asked.

The auction ended 2 weeks ago. My first e mail was answered a little slow but answered. I got the old sorry I didnt get it shipped out today it will go out tomorrow story. My last e mail has been unanswered.
 
I filed a dispute with Paypal after not recieving my item because the Ebay Store got shut down. I had to wait the 20 days or so for him to respond, but when the store didn't, Paypal refunded all of my money.
 
My wife lost money on a computer the same way. They sent a junker, and by the time she returned it, it was too late to dispute. Seller had great rating, but they stopped communication in the end.
