I am in need of having an ecm from an 06 tj either rebuilt or having to buy another.

I am having a hard time finding a reputable supplier for a rebuilt and no luck finding someone who can repair one. The Jeep is not unuseable but I will have to repair / replace the ecm before I can pass emissions. I know I can get one from the dealer but I am trying to get the best deal I can.

For info, the preheat 12v supply for bank 2 sensor 2(downstream) shorted to the tub while I was doing a tummy tuck. There is now no supply voltage to the 02 sensor upon startup for preheat, so ofcourse I am getting a fault code. I have consulted a few techs and all agreed there is nothing in between the ecm 12 v supply to the sensor. Something inside the ecm is bad. My own stupid fault!

Suggestions, referals, all appreciated!

4 plug P56044 703AD It had software updates at one point in time as far as I could tell by the sticker. Thanks a lot bud, give me a hollar! 828 855 six one 8 one.
Code is po161 02 sensor heater curcuit malfunction,, only code runs great.
I have an inside source to get a new ecm from a dealer at disount but its still high. about 440$ and then getting it flashed.

I don't have that one, sorry.
How many miles are on the TJ? The PCM (and the cat) is covered 8 yr/80k miles. No one has to know HOW it happened :)

Jason, had the same problem on mine...try first taking out the pin connectors and twaking the pins a little and slathering some gunk on em.That is what it took to fix mine from that code.I changed out a O2 sensor and had to work getting it inspected. Finally it kicked that code all the time and we had to figure the problem.Last try was the pin tweaking to get a better connection and it curred it.If you havent yet, give that a try.

Oddly enough, I replaced the PCM in my '98 Dodge with one from Advance Auto. Worked just fine.

1. Check fuse #16 in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) under the hood.

2. Check the G104 ground, it is on the right side of the engine block towards the rear.

3. Check the power to the heaters at the O2 sensors with the engine running.
