I ran an ECTED locker in my TJ dana 30 for quite awhile. I started on 33"s and eventually moved up to 35"s- which did it in.
On 33"s, I loved it. I ran approximately 40 trails with it in the Rocky Mountains and around 10 in Moab. It with stood the slick rock (extremely grippy) and any wedge I could put it in on the Colorado trails.
However, once I moved up to 35"s, I ended up burning out the magnet. Which essentially just made it a limited slip. I had an older model, and that issue is supposed to be fixed, but I went ahead and picked up an Ox to match my rear locker.
Auburn gave me a full refund and also told me that the Dana 30 model is now only recommended for 31" tires. They said the 8.8 model was stronger, but I didn't have a 8.8 to put it in.
Overall, I loved the ease of function. I would call Auburn direct and tell them about your setup. They will be very honest of whether or not that locker is right for you.
Any other questions, just let me know. I bought mine right when they came onto the scene for Jeeps and put in a lot of seat time with it.
