Ive got a 86 f150 with the famous 302. i have a question about fuel delivery. i'm in the process of rebuilding the engine, nothing fancy just a rebuild with a RV cam. the truck came stock with with speed density EFI and runs good as it is but i'm curious if a carb will work better. when i tore it down i discovered that its been rebuilt before due to the fact its bored .030 over. the truck is mostly on the street but i want to eventually get it ready for trails with a sas and some other mods. thanks in advance.

ps it is a 5 Speed manual. 6" lift w/ 35's. ridin on stock 3.55 gears at the moment

Put the FI back on it.No carb(Truck avenger,Q-jet,Motorcraft or whatever) will be as good as a properly working FI system.

thanks for the input. that seems to be the best and cheapiest way to go too lol. maybe some of you will see this this thing out and about some time soon.

The EFI will be much better. Start better on cold mornings, run better at extreme angles typical of offroad.
