Anyone know where I can buy some of this stuff? My dog cut her paw open and this is what they gave me to help keep the bandage on. Im supposed to change it every 2 or 3 days for the next week, and Ive already run out, she chewed the bandage off earlier tonight.

Vet charged me 33$ for it, which I think is highway robbery. Looking for a place that I can get it locally for what it really costs.

Most pharmacies carry it, If it's what I think you are referring to, 3M makes a brand of it called Coban. My wife uses it all the time for her Occupational Therapy patients. It's sort of like a stretch wrap that clings to itself. My local pharmacy carrys it in 2" and 4" wide rolls. There may be something "veterinary special" about that particular brand of it to justify the cost difference, but I doubt it.

That sounds like the right stuff. Its a sticky bandage type thing.

Update to this if anyone ever needs elastikon...

I couldn't find the stuff ANYWHERE. Coban isn't the same stuff. Elastikon is a bandage with actual adhesive on it, it attaches to anything, not just itself.

I called Southern States thinking that they might have some (its common with horse injuries since they move around so much), and they didn't have it. The Humane Society didn't even have it either. I ended up just getting it from my vet for 3.50 a roll. I guess the 33 dollars was more for them actually bandaging it up themselves.

Super Glue works wonders. It's not just for gluing your hard hat to an I Beam.
