Electric Car.. Discussion...

lol...it was me. im gonna horde all the small cars. then when gas goes to $8.00 a gallon im gonna sell em all back at highly inflated prices!

err....not for commercial use but that technology is out there already.

great idea by the way. ive an outlet out in the drive way (halfway between the house and garage) that should pretty much cover the entire back yard with and ext cord!

whoa....derailed....

i think were going to see a lot of electric stuff in the future.

They make the older style rotary/reel mowers. But seriously you have to be kidding me. I push mow my .3 arc with a 3.5hp brigs thats burns 1/8 gal (1/2 qt) in the 40min it takes me to do it.. I'm using a lot of energy as I PUSH the mower but I can see a rider (especially the newer hydro stats) can burn some good gas....

my neighbors mow with a 120v mower, i laugh when i see em dragging the lead cord all over the place ...

On the elec. car deal... I need to call my BIL... he's an engineer at ummm :) a place that makes electric motors.. he's on the 50hp-500hp line but maybe he can get me a good deal on a 'smaller' motor...

Reckon they're both under the same rock :)

okay okay.... i could hear the "heeeeeres your sign" comment from engvall as i clicked onto the post.

I had been thinking about how stupid that comment was earlier!

i meant...we're going to see more USE of electric things such as hedge trimmers and weed eaters and and scooters.

Both battery and plug in mowers are available, just like everything else, the buy in tends to be higher than the run of the mill gas mower, but cost much less to operate.

I have a 54 inch commercial mower that I use to mow ~10 acres of rental properties. Uses about 3.5 gallons of gas each mow.
