I need more power...
How much do you think this should cost?
'Cause I'm not believing the quote I just got...

Existing:
100 amp service - looks like 3 gauge coming out of the meter to 100 amp fuse disconnect box to 3 gauge into the building into panel

I need another 100 amps at least. How would you foresee this being accomplished?
Add additional 100 amp box?
Upgrade service to 200 amp with new disconnect and panel?
Got to go straight to the power company to get this accomplished?

Any electricians out there need a shiny new Line-X bedliner? I'm more than capable of doing the work myself...I've wired up my past two shops...but I have an inspector to answer to now...and need some licensed help.

If you OWN your dwelling, and are capable, you can pull the needed permits and do the work with whatever/whoever you choose. You don't need a licensed electrical contractor, per say.

But upgrading your service to a 200A metered enclosure with disconnect would be the way to go. You'll also have to change your inside panel to a 200A rated panel. You need larger wire from your service mast to your meter, and between your meter and inside panel. The power company is responsible for making the connection to your service mast.

ETA: Read original post again and realized panel is seperate from meter enclosure.

Done. :)
