Electrical YJ help needed.

Headlights cut off after 10-45 sec after turning on brights, and randomly with low beams on. It's kinda dangerous but they do cut back on usually less than a minute later. I've checked grounds by the lights. Maybe switch is overheating?

Check/clean the connections at the switch and see what happens.

Mine did that.... I just added a light bar and kept at it. Sorry for not being any help lol

My trail rig does that. It's the head light switch. Been thinking about wiring in a relay to take the load off the switch.

^what Chris said. The switch has gone bad. Common in XJs around the same year.

Once drove from Uwharrie to Greensboro with the headlights cutting off every 10-15 seconds and having to push the switch in and pull out real fast... In the rain. Real fun trip! It starts with high beam but will eventually do it on low too.

Mine is the electrical connector. Not the switch. Cuts off after fifteen minutes and goes on/off with a 5 or so second period

I'll start by replacing the switch and go from there. Thanks guys.
