cost?
quality?
durability?
repairability?

I am going to get one of the DD painted and need a few thoughts/facts
this is an onroad only vehicle if it matters:beer:

i have heard the emron works very well for marine applications but had not heard of using it on cars. i guess it would be nice just expensive.

I know people that use Emron all the time. you will not find a better paint, period.

Emron is expensive but it does hold up well. I use to paint for the company that builds the Asplundh trucks. They use PPG single stage paint now on them because it is cheaper. It takes more Emron to paint the same surface as it does wit PPG single stage. Because you do not thin down the Emron with thinner just add activator. I do not like 2 stage paint the clearcoats do not hold up as good as they should. If it is your trail rig I would just go with a single stage PPG paint or Emron it is made by Dupont. If it is a show Rig i would use a basecoat/clearcoat paint 2stage.

Base coat/ clear coat is my choice.

Very easy to repair. Very easy to fix screw ups in the paint booth. you just need to use good quailty product i.e Sikkens akzo nobel or PPG

my buddy has a show quality jeep painted with emron...

^^^^^^^nice jeep^^^^^^^^

getting a few estamites and there is no real price difference
between single stage and base/clear

yeah the pics dont do it justice.... it has half hard doors, and there is over 14hours worth of body work and paint into the pair

Emron is freaking indestructible. I welded a trolling motor mount to an aluminum jon boat that had been painted with Emron a while back, and it was hell trying to get the paint off and the area cleaned up enough to weld to.
