My parents lived in Austrailia for a few years and we visited them once and went to a red stag/ emu farm. One of the lil bastids stuck its head through the fence and took my Mom's 1ct diamond earring right off her ear. Stepdad asked the guy how much for all of them as we couldnt identify the "culprit". Dude running the place wouldnt sell them for $5K. And yes he had full intention of making emu burgers out of all of them to find it. Still give him hell about that.

Emus aren't cheap.... We looked into getting some Alpacas for our farm once. The cheapest found were about 14k a head so that's prolly why the guy wouldn't sell them.
