Engine oil question..

Are the quarts the oil came in, and the filter good to throw in the garbage or do they all get recycled along with the used motor oil?

Just wondering since the above still have oil residue around..
 
I always put my oil bottles in the recycling bin, and the people that pick up our recycling always take them.
 
That's interesting.... here they say not to put them with recycling, they will not take them. So instead you ened up putting them in the trash... which I don't like to do b/c of both the remaining oil AND the plastic that should be recycled.
