I’ve inherited some old Valvoline oil in paper cans.My grandfather bought oil whenever it was on sale and hoarded it up but never drove enuf to need it all.Hes gone now and they have been dividing up some of his stuff.Everybody was afraid of the oil since it was produced in the 80’s sometime and they knew I liked stuff like that so they gave it to me.I know today’s oil is miles ahead of what was made then but what you it hurt to run it in some ol beater truck w a card’d 350 or an ol tractor??

Hmmmm. I think you are clowning.
You know what those are worth unopened

But you'd be dollars ahead to sell it to someone who collects old automobile memorabilia.

I've already tried, took em to the gas and oil show and couldn't get $5 a can out of em.I know some cans are valuable, just not these.I've gotten $30 a can out of others in the past. These came in an old oil soaked Esso cardboard box.

bingo. Did Jake hack this account?o_O
Nah hes more of a FB kinda guy.Although he does find all this (people posting on a forum) quite interesting.

Man, I'll give you $20 for that Texaco can. My grandad drove for them back in the late 50s/early 60s. I still wear his Texaco belt buckle to this day. That man meant the world to me. Serious. You wanna sell it?

Got a few Quaker state cans unopened from my Papaw.
Glad you were able to get them,I have very few things from a maternal grandfather,The green Exxon can pictured is the same oil he used in his tractor,I remember seeing him put it in.The Valvoline came from step dad's,step dad.We were'nt as close.

Its empty.

Ok. And I'll give you a crisp Andrew Jackson for it. You can mail it, I'll come get it, or meet you lol.
Let me see what else I have,I might have a full one somewhere.

I'd give you $5 for the Quaker State racing oil can and will pay shipping, if it's not steep. No idea if the rate would be different since it's a liquid.

Ill go 20 on the esso oil can. I collect old esso stuff.
Don't care if it's full or empty

Flat rate box, take it home, pad it, seal it, wrap it. Take it back to mail it. Say nothing. Pretty sure you'd have to pay hazard fee if they knew.

Nah. I send oil samples, order Amsoil online, and fuel additives all the time. It's not as terrible to ship as you'd imagine. As long as it isn't leaking, it's just another package.

Ha....that's what she said!

Bil builds race engines and they do oil samples on the prototype engines. He sent in a sears oil sample from a all metal oil can,the report ask if it was a joke. Oil is ok to use some parts contain unknown substance. Still have a few cans around here.
