I am rebuilding a '78 304 from the block up. Where is the best place to buy cheap reliable replacement parts. I need parts like rods, rocker arms, lifters, camshaft.

Also, I am looking for someone to machine my heads and make sure they are straight. The closer to Greensboro the better.

I have always had all my machine work done by Brinkley and Sons in Lexington. They are always able to order any hard parts I need, and the prices always seem cheaper too. Also able to have them put the wrist pins in, and I never have to worry about ordering the right size, 10, 20 30 over/under etc.
Most engine builders should be able to get parts at a vendor cost, what price they charge the customer is up to them.
