Below you'll see my experience so far, very mixed. I can speak highly of their desire to stand behind their product but really can't say anything good yet about their product. I've even spoken to the owner of Engo who answered their phone one day on my first call to them. Joel who I spoke to on the second call is mentioned on multiple boards. Seems if you have problems you'll get someone that knows the product and industry. As far as price call jeep ad ons and ask for Chris extension 1884. He always gets me the best price regardless what the product. Nice guy to boot. http://www.nc4x4.com/forum/index.php?threads/engo-winch-experience.136027/
We'll see when I get mine but what bad I have read about engo came from improperly assembled units. Really haven't heard anybody having issues with a correctly assembled ones. Most common ailment is the Chinese builders clock them funny and they pretty much are doa or shortly after. Good luck with whatever you buy. My second choice was getting a used warn and rebuilding.
Well I just pulled the trigger on a Smittybuilt XRC12, I know Engo has good customer service, but I have heard too many of them breaking, and/or not working right out of the box. Hopefully I made the right choice, we shall see.
