ETA "Doublewide" TJ

Saw something about this on facebook and thought I'd share it here. It's a '98 TJ, widened 13 inches.

I wish I could find pics of it, but there's another one thats done the same way thats been in a few magazines. It may be wider than that one its got coil-overs 46" claws and three full suspension seats wide. In my opinion if it doesn't have 7 slots it's not a jeep.

I think it would look better if they made the origional slots wider, instead of just adding more of them.

would maybe make a little sense if they widened it to fit full widths and stock flares but... those are running stock d30's and d35's so all that fab and they couldnt even fab some brackets for some beefier axles.

Right, I don't see the point in it either. Needs just a H2 and be done.

Why not just widen it with D60's, 10" wide wheels, and extended flairs. Seems like that would be much more useful.

I wonder if the guy was thinking, "Hmmmmm. I have this extra windsheild wiper that's just begging to go on my Jeep..... maybe I'll widen the Jeep so it will fit... " Sort of like buying an amp that goes to 11 instead of getting one with a stronger 10. (those who have seen Spinal Tap will understand)
