Ethanol-free gas stations (link)

my family and i have been in the gas business for 25 years and we just went and got our first tanker load of e-10 gasoline from the terminal on friday. From what we have been told, by the end of this month there will be no more 100% conventional gasoline. But the stores will have the option of buying 100% premium gasoline (which is about 20 cents higher)

That list can't be anywhere close to complete, but it would be great if awareness of the list led to its growth.

I don't know what I'm going to do about my boat for the winter. Sta-Bil Marine will prevent phase separation, but from what I understand that is only half the problem. The other half is that my boat has a vented gas tank that allows air to flow freely in and out. The ethanol will supposedly attract moisture out of the air.

If anyone has recommendations or knows of a flaw in my concern I'd love to hear it.

i forget the timeline, but they are going to push it up to 15%...so screw older stuff, and don't plan on storing it more than a few weeks, Stabil or not.

Wonder what it would take to re-refine the gas/ethanol mix at home, and separate out the ethanol? Without burning down your shop?

I guess I'll run it until the tank is almost dry before winterizing unless I hear of a better solution. This is assuming, of course, that the station I currently get my gas from stops carrying ethanol free gas before I winterize it.

sucks NC doesnt require labelling, although I've seen it labelled at some places. Sucks even more that it will all be ethanol soon
