Had this thing since July of last year(2017) after I destroyed my wife's built 335d. 2008 Range Rover Westminster 4.2 supercharged 107k miles now.
The plan is to have a light wheeling/fishing/camping rig. It is currently still on the factory adjustable air, just replaced the front air struts earlier this year due to a blowout. Currently has 275/55/20 k02's on it.
Up until just recently there hasn't been anything done major, just some maintenance items, a wet sounds bluetooth module install, tires, weather tech liners and vent visors, new polarized/heated/sound deadening windshield, ceramic tint all the way around to ditch the ridiculous greenhouse effect (this thing has lots of glass real estate) including 55 polarized ceramic on the windshield (highly recommend it.
I AM for sure planning on ditching the chrome by having it powdered, just havnt decided on black or gunmetal like all the emblems.

Right when we got it.

The 77 Apache Ranger hardside popup we picked up to work on for extended fishing trips. Drove down to Dalton Ga to get it.

Fixing to go get some real tires finally and ditch the crappy Michelin ltx2

Sliders built by Corey @CThurmond. Originally for a j10 but we had room to cut them down to fit the Fatty

a fallen soldier. Brand new dewalt right angle up in smoke. Getting in there to drill for the mounts is super tight. The unibody "frame" is tucked way up there. Almost like a stock floor body drop.

we did manage to get one most of the way mounted before the drill died. Have to go get a right angle air drill before I can finish.

paint! Well sort of. Wanted to get something on there for the time being. I will be finishing mounting them Thursday/friday with the current twin mounting pads. I will be adding mounting locations to attach to the factory step rivnuts on the backside of the rocker, as well as a for and aft mount to just under the body, a plate under the factory jack points, and some 3x3 angle frame stiffiners tied in with the pad mounts riv nutted into the unibody frame. But all that will be in the near future. The difficult part is finding time to work on 8t since my wife drives it and works second shift

will be using grip tape on top of the flat part of the sliders for some traction. Nothing like sliding off your steps first thing in the morning

That is something you don't see often. A rover in the woods.....

Very few. They wheel the shit out of them overseas. They have much better ground clearance than the lr3/4's. Nothing hanging down, much easier to full belly skid. Does pretty damn good offroad especially steep inclines and descents

I like it, especially the contender :smokin:
Its a badass boat that's for sure. Trip 300 yammis. It's a bottom fishing machine that will flat out shit and get. Will run 72 with 2 people calm water across the harbor chine walking the whole way.

Changed it up since the grip tape I got from lowes would have to be trimmed and be 3 pieces per side. Found a commercial grip tape called Gator Grip on Amazon, made for high traffic applications. It is some form of gel adhesive that cures up to it's full potential in 70 hrs at 72 degrees. 3" x a huge roll( I think it was 50 or 60 ft) was $65.00. Anyone need some grip tape?

Not the final coat, but good for now. Once I get around to extra bracing and whatnot I will pull them, have them blasted and then duracoated

Here is our internal rod rack, got it on ebay. Has velcro provisions for 6 rods, but it will fit more. It will hold anything from light crappie rods to offshore to shark gear (and has!). It is a seat belt type material with adjustment buckles on either side and metal clips. Came with small brackets to attach to your oh shit handles or just into whatever you attach it to. I believe I looked up suv rod carrier or something on Ebay. It has been serving us well for about a year now. One of the first things we did. It is a hell of a lot better and easier than putting them on the rack of the bimmer all the time!!

pardon the droopy headliner. That's one of the next things on the list. Rovers are known for it right around 100k....and sure enough, like clockwork. Thinking about changing the color and/or fabric. The ivory/beige/whatever does not really like having rods rubbing against it. Gets kind of nasty from rod grease/fish/water contaminants

Picked up a 90degree air drill today and currently pulling the air tank(up behind the rocker) and a couple other things so that I can finish drilling for the mounts. Going to pick up some more 3/4 .120 wall dom for sleeves tomorrow seeing as my guesstimate wasn't right at the beginning. Already picked up some longer bolts to deal with the v style unibody frame. Originally was in a hurry and measured the bottom. \_/

Knowing what is going to be getting on it.... i might consider just spraying it with a lizard skin or something similar, or at a minimum i would cover it in vinyl, canvas, duckcloth, etc; something easy to clean.

What is this lizard skin you speak of? I was thinking some form of duck/canvas type fabric as well

Spray on undercoating/sound deadening. I would say vinyl would be the easiest cleanup, but a nice duck/cordura material should still clean up nicely and still look nice.
