Doing hard time

I got something out of the camper on Saturday. Yesterday I found I had left the relays on, and most of the inside lights. Lights were dim, but still on. Put my battery tester on them, each one measured about 6.0 volts. AMP test said "replace battery" on both the house batteries.
It sat on the charger for 10 hours today. Checked the water a couple of times. About 8pm I go out and re-check. Both were all the way up to 6.48 volts after 10 hours. Great, looked like I kllled them somehow.
Go back inside, start washing dishes. THEN IT HITS ME.
I replaced the batteries back in the fall. Took out 2 12 volts in parallel, and put in 2 six volt golf cart batteries in series. Ya big dummy, of course it read 6.x volts. Put the tester across both batteries and got 12.7 volts and a "good battery" report.
