Ever known anyone to get married in Uwharrie?

Spend the majority of your time and effort planning for the marriage, not the wedding.

Seems that TeamSpatula is getting hitched soon and was thinking the same thing... maybe you could make it a double?
We got married in a small church w/ all of the obligatory family, guests, & eats... then proceeded to put my bride in my then lifted NiceUn 4x4 and made her help lift the keg into the back! I agree with BW... if your gonna blow a Sat. for your guests, better provide "refreshments"! We sat around under an old oak tree and had a grand time!
If we had it to do over again, we'd have done the JP deal and spent more $$ on a fancier honeymoon & more beer! :D

hahahahaha.
Who can plan for marriage?
There is no planning.
Whatever you expect- it will be wrong.

my wife and I got married in her parents back yard eight years ago. Dress was very casual. Had no plans for rain but it was beautiful out. We had the wedding at 12 noon and it only lasted about 20 min. No drink but we did have BBQ and grilled chicken with 2 kinds of slaw and all the other sides. Def not traditional but were married.

Do what the both of you want to do. Nevermind everyone else's opinions.
