I had a guy stop in front of me tonight when there was a guy on a bicycle wearing black almost ran in front of me. While watching the guy on a bike the Impala stopped. I basically hit him doing 45. His car is totaled fromt he way it looked. My trucks bumper and radiator supprt bent and the grill got busted. My lights all work except for low beams. The ticket cost me $135. Not sure how much my insurance will go up but it was my first accident ever. Just had to vent about the dumb ass riding a bike at night wearing black. I am guessing he was a p[revious DUI vistim since he seamed about half lit when he came to the Impala and said he was glad I didn't hit him. Well I am done with my rant. I'll get pics tomorrow.

Hate that man, good luck to you. I think I'm gonna get jrraw23 to bring the tires to my buddies house in Raglieh this weekend. I'll let you know.

Either way, glad your all right.

I hope the guy in the impala is alright. He had his chair way back with the ghetto lean thing going on. He knew he was getting hit cause he had a death grip on the wheel cause it was folded up.

Not sure when I will be able to get the tires now. I have to put my truck in the shop which I am hoping won't take to long. You know my airbags never deployed. Is that some kind of liability of ford?

Doesn't sound like they needed to deploy, and you should be happy they didn't.

Well, theres not hurry, mu buddies got a good piece of land and a decent size shop they'll sit in.

Well that, and airbag deployments are an unpleasant experience.

Yeah chem burns and a rash for a week or so...not too mention feeling like you have been hit in the face...

Though I have never had the pleasure of "smart" sensor bags just old school ones.

I still can't believe the difference in damage between your Ford and the rear of that Impala!!!

Excursion =10,000lbs
Impala = 3500lbs

that is equivalent to my 280lb ass running into a 95 lb female or child...

Really theer cant be too much surprise, and Im not even sure what the damage was, but anything short of a able to fit in a shoe box, wouldnt shock me...

I looked at my truck and with Boogers advice I am fixing it myself. I can get all the parts for around $600 new not including shipping. I meet with the insurance guy Wednesday for his estimate and to get a check. I could just replace the grill and it would look alright but I am going to do it right. Anyone know where the sensor is for the airbags or at least the fuse? My first estimate was for $2200-2500 to fix it. the insurance guy is suppose to call me when they make a decision about the other guys car and whether they are going to fix it or not. I predict it to be totaled. I am still waiting to see if the the guy is ok or not. Thanks for the support and I am glad I am still alive and so is he.

I had my air bags deploy on me once and I thought the car was on fire. The cabin was full of smoke and white powder. The smell was so bad that it gagged me to try and set in the car. So I had to stand outside in the rain. Fortunately the guy I hit in the ass was a nice guy and let me set in his car until the cops showed up.

Oh yeah and it hurt like hell when the air bag hit me because I was not going that fast.

Here is the car I hit. They guy told someone he was fine and was just waiting for the insurance check to replace his car.
