exhaust brake for cummins

I've got a 98 24 valve CTD with a few mods on motor and auto tranny, looking for some extra braking power, so I'm considering getting a exhaust brake, hopefully a used one cause I'm cheap, are they hard to find and install? whats a fair price and what should I look for brand/features wise. Thanks

Go to Cummins and buy a new one. Around $750 for all the stuff to make it work.

yup...I bought I BD brake off craigslist that was on an auto truck and is being put on my 6spd.

I've got a BD brake on my new tow rig '06 CTD and it's an automatic transmission. I can turn the brake on or off right from the drivers seat with a toggle. I just ran around Pisgah Forest tinkering with the brake and you can actually feel it slowing the truck down. my.02$
