I talked to the guy at Batteries Plus here in Hickory and he said that these are "Optima Battery fighters"

I suspect they would spec out the same. Dont know who may be running one yet tho.

the web site has them for 129 but they were marked 99 in store.... either way still cheaper

The last pair of Optimas I bought were 140 each....I wouldn't have bought them again if I didn't already have a battery box that fits them. Next time, I'll probably go with a different brand. So far, so good though.

Exide sucks ass and has for at least 15 years.

When I worked at Sears in college they were in the middle of a huge lawsuit with exide. Johnson Controls had built the DieHard battery for years then in the early 90s Exide got the contract (And promptly spent all Sears money on sponsoring Jeff Burton's Winston Cup car) Their NMTF went from some industry record of like 90+months to less than 13 months.

Exide has been in/out of bankruptcy protection several times in the last 5-10 years. I think they're in Ch.11 right now...

I've never had a problem with one. But what I pay for them I expect its not a optima.

They sell for around 79 new for a reg car battery.

So yeah I'd say they suck if their price was as high as everyone else but they're not.( probably bc they r in bankruptcy...)
