External cage?

I am just considering one on my Grand Cherokee... eventually.

What is every one's experience with internal vs. external cages? I am a pretty big guy (hence the user name ), so I am thinking an external cage might keep me comfortable inside.

What kind of price are we talking to have someone build me an external cage?

thats what i was gonna say but i figured id wait for someone with firsthand to post first.

i think on the GCs, an exo is about the best way to go... but personally Im not a huge fan of the look, and all the extra tube to get snagged.

If I do another GC, I would do a hybrid exo-internal cage, or recess the tube into the sheet metal...

I know an internal cage would look better, but I am just not sure if I want to sacrafice all the interior room, plus mounting a cage to the unibody is not the best. I will shoot quickracer a PM.
