Well, I'm getting ready to take the plunge on the external fuel cell. I've been draggin my feet for a few weeks and I need to go ahead so I can get my axle back a few inches. I've been reading a ton of forums and discussions on how people have been hooking their cells up and I just wanted to post the question here to see what you guys thought/
I'm located in New Hanover County and we have emission testing here. While I plan to hook all the evap stuff back up. I was wondering what people were doing for the filler caps? I've seen a few posts where people state you need to have the unleaded fuel filler restrictor in place or else it can fail inspection. Any suggestions or thoughts around this? What have you guys with cells done?
Second question, the tank I am gonna install is the RCI 2162A with the GenRight adapter ring along with stock pump. I've seen a lot of discussions on the use of baffles? With a tank that is only 9" in height are baffles really necessary? I'm just curious as what others are doing? Using the 2162A the pump (from what I read) will pretty much flush mount to the base of the tank. Seems like I would really have to be starving the tank or on some insane lines to starve the pump. But I'm asking because I don't know.
Thanks for any suggestions or ideas.
