I was woundering if anyone has put a manual transmission behind a 7.3 other than a factory 6 speed. I was wanting a 10 or 13 speed in my truck

Surely someone will answer that. I don't know, but would guess it's a matter of what tranny would fit the bell housing. And their may be some problems with the clutch assembly, being part of the flywheel [ or something like that, so I've been told].

you may be better off with an overdrive box/gear splitter. unless you are doing a total ground up fabrication your taking on a lot of work just to get something to fit under the body. then you have to worry about air supply to shift the range box. And thats IF you find the right combination of input shaft/adapter to mate to the ford.

The fab is no problem I just taking a shot in the dark at seeing if anyone has ever heard of anyone doing this

7.3s were in older daycab semis. T444e was the designation of those engines. They also have slightly larger injectors compared to the ones in the obs pickups of the time.
