drivin the other night in my truck and saw several deer on left...didnt try to slow down. (cant get any more meat till next season)All went away from road except for one who said "watch this"
she hit my bumper and then my Swamper hit her. The swamper won. shes in my fridge. That brings the death toll my truck has inflicted to somwhere around 10 including that deer, 2 cats,1 possum,1 coon, random misc. small critters (bunnies, birds, ect.)and several traffic cones.shes asleep in my freezer now in several ziplock bags.no damage to truck except clip came off on bumper, popped it back on in 5 seconds.

any one else have any interesting encounters this year/have pictures of damage done from deer?

My mom killed a buck with her '03 VW Passat late last year and it did about 3000 dollars worth of damage, passenger side door had to be replaced, new fender, and headlight assembly and it dinged up the edge of the hood a bit from the fender.

I just about nailed a big buck on my way home late one night with the colorado, just strolled right accross the road like I wasn't even there.

Wiped out 3 deer at one shot 2 months ago in my friends F250 ( well technically 2 with the 250 and 1 with the trailer/buggy combo), he said I could never drive on the way home again...:driver:

It was the buggys first kill however:D

I got a mid-size buck at somewhere around 55mph a few months ago. Bent my tierod a little, but straightened it out easy. Poor guy got hit so hard he had intestines coming out both ends. I had fur on my swaybar endlinks and my roller fairlead for about 3 months before it finally washed all off.

not a roadkill story but my dad just killed 2 deer with one bullet a few months ago.. they were standing 2 deep he shot and they both layed down... it was a once in a lifetime thing if you ask me

i still got fur in my suspension
and the deer proof truck is just a chevy silverado. the only reason its deer proof is because the front bumper came over the deers shoulders because its up over 12 higher than stock. That somewhat influenced my decision not to slow down, that and the fact that i didnt think i could/would actually get it.

and so it stands
Truck-1:Deer-0
