no idea
A friend of mine may be moving here from TX. He has a deleted F250. Will that pass inspection?

I have no idea. Don’t have one or know crap about them.

Thanks

Diesel trucks in NC are only subject to safety inspection. Not smog testing. Now a inspector could see it has been deleted and say something not sure he can enforce anything though.

10-4. Thanks

Like it was said above the most that “could” happen is the inspector notices that the exhaust is not factory. To most it’s a non issue but some may be an ass about the DPF system not being in place yada yada. Should be no issue though.

as long as there isn’t a check engine light, i doubt most would even notice or care

It is illegal to remove any federally-mandated smog equipment from any vehicle. No car SHOULD pass the visual inspection if anything is removed.

However, as some have said...the odds of someone doing a safety inspection noticing or caring are not great.

^^ except when it’s a significant financial burden that it’s not practical. Hence why select financially depressed counties in NC have eliminated emissions testing as part of inspections, even on new vehicles. :)

Its still a federal crime to remove the equipment wether you live in a smog exempt county or not.

But the odds of anybody caring doing the inspection is low.

I thought this would be a thread about someone getting rid of their Ford
Me, too, quite disappointed it didn't happen.

Civil penalty, not criminal. Nobody goes to jail JUST for violating the Clean Air act.
(assuming we're talking about an owner removing their own)

I never said jail.
