Fab guys, ever built a street car?

Ron Fellows proved that a sport bike can't beat a road car on the same course years ago. But, I'd say it depends on the course also. Bike can't go as hard as the car in a turn - race bike to race car. Track records attest to that, Road Atlanta the bikes used to be 10 - 20 Sec slower. Maybe they've gained in the last few years. I ain't no driver, but have stuff going around that track and others I've worked on.

Anyway, I've got 200K + seat time in an old corvette (the golden rocket) I used to have, daily drove it, modded it some, put the T56 in it and tall gears, that thing would knock down 30 mpg easy. It idled it's way down the highway, I'd like to have it back and put a small turb diesel in it to see what it would do. Got lot's of tickets in it, when you went through 115 or so it just squatted down on the road. Aaahh the old days before responsibilities!

You ever seen the old roadster's cut down from the 20's cars? Only as wide as the seat you're in, that would be a cool fast rod, single seat or make it tandem seating, narrow and long, kind'a like those plymouth prowlers but skinnerer. Like a world or outlaws car with out the wing.

Or skinny up and lower the below beast;

Or, my friend's dirt late model, get that thing to turn right and legalize it somehow, that'd be a quick ride. I saw one on the street once in my life like that, it was turning heads.
