Factory Jeep XJ CD Radio

I read somewhere that the factory CD players in some XJs are the same size (and fit) and the factory cassette player in my '90 Grand Wagoneer. Any input would be helpful.

if im remembering correctly, that looks exactly like the factory tape deck that was in my 89 xj, I know it wasnt a cd player but it was in a xj. Hope that helps.

'97+ XJ's went to a slightly larger size, known as the GM/Chrysler size.
