Fall Farm Event Date set!

Most of the real 4wheeling crowd does not like the mud anyway( you don't see $40K rigs in the mud, you $400 POS's in the mud). We know the mud was fun to watch but it was bringing in a group that did not line up with the type of events we want to have: SAFE, SOBBER, FAMILY FRIENDLY, 4WHEELING

Oh yeah, I understand the fact that the real 4wheeling was in the woods...but I mean come ON...it was hilarious to watch that Ford Ranger with the 6 inch or so body lift try to make it thought that pit. When I was there Saturday, most of the mud runs seemed legit.

These are also the vehicles that are not safe. That truck, if I remember correctly, had pipe welded to the frame and the body mounts to create the 6" body lift.
Alot of the vehicles hitting the pit had no recovery points.
It was next to impossible to keep the spectators back away from the pit during the runs. You would tell them to move, they would back up a step and then step forward as soon as the hear an engine rev.:shaking:
And no one was listening as to when to go, or stop.
There were some close calls and it is just not worth it.
Your average person attending, drinking, and then deciding to hit the pit with whatever they brought is where things go bad.
Maybe with more fencing and an enclosed entrance and exit it would be more manageable, but it is a moot point now.

On a more fun, less serious note.
Stupid tube door latches...

and that stranger ranger was a pile of :poop:

Oh yeah it definitely was...I just wanted to be on the safe side and not say that pile of shit ranger JUST in case the owner browses the boards...but now that I see that thats not the case, that thing was a POS. The body lift was clearly the funniest part about the whole thing. It was obviously some pipe welded on.

Anyone know who was driving the flat green truck? That thing stayed clean the whole time.

uglyjeepoffroad, I saw your Commando more than a few times. Looks awesome man!

I think the best part of the ranger that we LOL'ed about all day Sat. was the big Ol' boy & his stool he used to get in & out + sit on in front of spitting baccer & sucking on a cigar.

i would like to give THANKS to everyone that had super goooood time and i am sure there will many great events at the BDB FARM .thanks for raising money for a great cause, i know what it means to kevin and mel,i have been there too and its good to have friends and family ...... THANKS

Why dose everybody want to talk :poop: about my truck.

the pos ranger still lasted longer than "Lina's Toy To Destroy" I shouldn't have put her in that hole at rpm so soon. She did really well at first, but it was her first time in the woods and I took her there right off the bat. We'll get it fixed soon and be heading to ure next I guess.

Oh...and BTW...

Good to meet ya Papa Jon and Caver Dave! Nice to put the faces with the names!:beer:

Didn't know this was yer first Farm event ,there, Dave! Hope ya had a good time, and glad the fix held together!

Chip does good work, eh!

Thanks to all the BDB guy's for putting on a hell of an event, and all for a good cause. Me and all of my family and friends hope that there will be more event's to come, but like everyone said all it will take is one person to screw it all up.. Got my rig (S-10 on 49's) in the garage and changing some stuff around for next time hopefully.. Thanks again to all....

I had alot of fun as well even though the ol cj stayed broke all weekend. Thanks to all the staff who helped us out and im looking forward to the next one!
:)

Thanks again to BDB and all who put on this great event.!!!!!!

That being said...to the ones who showed their drunk a$$, please don't ever return, you know who you are. I'm not against having a beer or two but get drunk at home those of you that have abused the hospitality of the BDB may have caused the "public" closure of a great place to have some family fun on 4 wheels. Just my .02

Kevin & Melissa, our prayers are with you. ><>

So much fun!!! No better way to spend the weekend! Our CJ broke Friday night on Carnage, but was way fun doing it!
Many prayers to Kevin and Melissa.

Me too... when I looked over, the Z71 was buried to the frame in the big (remaining) pit... 20' from the start!

Hey I had to get in it, you know me, but hey I made it as far as anyone else did in the Z71 :driver:

Its too bad the tranny in the Z71 that only has 24K since rebuild decided to go out on me today, its still running but its not happy and won't be around for much longer . . .

The mud situation sucks - the no open to the public situation sucks - I wish it could have gone differently, but it comes down to the fact that its Chad's private property, he could completely close it down if he wants so there's really no discussion to be made, regardless of how much I or anyone else wishes the situation could be different, I'm just thankful he still lets us use the rest of the place :driver:

****Also I do want to thank Papa John and Marvilouseone (spelling?) for helping me with the trash cleanup sunday

Hi-Ho Silver,AWAY......:driver:
