Falls Avenue bridge jump

Here's a clean version of the video (skip the first 10 seconds) without Maureen Oboyle and Steve Ohnesorge.

The real tragedy here is that in the US of F'n A in 2017 there is a bridge that has been closed for a year, left to collapse, and they still have not started repairs or replacement. And it's not an isolated incident. There are 2 like that near me, which is only a minor headache because I rarely go through there, but I believe they used to be on a daily work commute for @GONOVRIT. Just closed, put up signs, dug out pavement, and then abandoned them for over a year.

To hell with the boys having fun, that's all it was. How bout fixing the damn bridge. There are TWO around the corner from me that have been down for over a yr:rolleyes: There are school buses that have a long detour now just to pick up a few kids, big trucks running to my friends farm, fire and ambulance are all at a big inconvenience. Much less my drive to work.

This is the version I want to see....

I got a Trooper in my class from that county. Them boys are screwed. They are going after them with eveything, even the expense of "securing" the area to prevent more shenanigans.

Such an excessive waste of time and money. I bet if we took all the money wasted on signs and ceremonies naming bridges after people in this state, we could afford to fix a couple.

@StretchASU made me think of you looking for practice...lol

Lol shit man, I do my best to keep both wheels on the ground. Flying through trees doesn't bother me, brakes can still work there. Through the air they don't do shit, you still hit the ground as fast or faster than you were going.

Was it kids shenanigans, yeah. Can it still happen, sure. Just build 2 more ramps to jump in and out of the area blocked off by the barriers (urban Supercross). But no, piss a bunch of money away on going after these kids and drilling holes in a bridge that already needs repair. That will sure as shit speed up the "fixit" process. :shaking: At least the kids had helmets on, unlike every wheelieboy dumbass I see on a weekly basis zipping past the office.

I liked how the said they were afraid the video would spur copy-cats, and then said "we've posted the entire video on our website..."

LOL, no doubt.

I think those guys may have gotten the idea from this guy out in CA:

Then he tried to jump the famous train jump in Simi Valley, CA, and fooked up:

Here is a successful jump over the train from about two decades ago:

This is the big brother crap I can't stand. The rider is doing absolutely nothing to hurt anyone, just enjoying life.
Reminds me of my days of skateboarding. Senior year in HS I found a nice stretch 9 with a right hand raised ledge beside it. I went for a kickflip to frontside nosegrind and overshot it. Landed in somewhat of a salad maneuver, bound up and threw me forward, over the ledge and into a 6' drop straight down onto my left shoulder. I got up with a piece of my broken clavicle poking out of my chest. Good times. Was I planning on suing college of Charleston? Shit no! I got up and hauled ass before my narrow window of time let up and a big dyke security guard came and slammed my face down on the hood of her car. Merica.

Until one of those guys successfully jumps ON to the moving train, its just jumping a big jump

Agree. Those cops should be out busting meth heads or thieves instead of worrying about a couple of guys on dirt bikes having fun with ZERO danger to anyone else. Better yet, if they don't have anything better to do, lay them off and put their salary towards repairing the broken bridge.

"NC State Trooper TA Rathbone says his job is to save lives on the highways, and what the motorcycle riders did over the weekend is making that tougher."

These boys made the choice to endanger themselves. Troopers playing nanny isn't making anyone any better off. If they really want to make the highways safer, put the effort and resources into fixing bridges and such.
