Favorite movies

Have you read the books? If you did you would know that they are squeezing a trilogy out of a book no larger than any of the LOTR books, and have absolutely butchered the story. So resent it all you want... Point stands.
I agree, the Cartoon movie is a real classic, when I was young I wanted to watch the movie, my uncle wouldn't let me watch it until I read all the books.

Yes, I have read The Hobbit, and no, the movie doesn't follow the story to the T, but for me, its about entertainment....not being exactly right. Have you seen The Desolation of Smaug yet? Adding Legolas and Tauriel is not part of the story but the Barrel scene was absolutely insane as well as the rest of the movie.....I mean breaking the movie up into a trilogy was not the worst idea ever because it keeps you wanting more (at least for me). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOTR, but I also feel that The Hobbit is awesome as well.
We all know that the Hobbit was broken into a trilogy to make more money...but I think Peter Jackson is doing a phenominal job recreating a world that we all would probably love to go to and making it as realistic as possible.

I didn't like Avatar because it reminded me of Titantic with blue people.... but to me Eye candy does help in a movie.....camera angles, good CGI, etc

Easy Rider
The Blues Brothers
Blazing saddles
Young Frankenstein
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang---- written by Ian Fleming- (James Bond)
The Sound of Music - don't know why but my wife is horny as hell after watching so I'm down !
Full metal jacket
A few good men
The bucket list
The last Waltz
One flew over the cuckoo's nest
Fargo
Smokey and the Bandit
Toy Story
Forrest Gump
And the list goes on........................
