Feb 28 ride to gluches

A group of us from Aville are headed down to gluches on the sat the 28th. Anyone wanting to go we'll be meeting at the shell station at the mtn home exit off I-26 at 7-730 am on sat to ride down. We had a good time last month when we went plus it's only 1hr 30mins away. Skip and the local help run a great park and just a couple weekends ago had a big trackhoe in changing some of the trails.

If you do go up let me know may come up for the day on the 6th. We're going for sure on the28th to the gluches. later
 
We went this past weekend and had a blast. One of our group was the first to conquer Papa Gulch. We had 3 total from our group go all the way up Papa Gulch. You should have a great time.
 
I'm out, gonna go to Maryland instead. Take lots of pics so I'll know what I missed.
 
Anyone going from around the Fayetteville area? Thinking of bringing my Jeep. I'm working on a 1 ton swap for it, so I might have an open spot on a trailer for someone willing to give me a spotter's seat.
 
We were headed to Gulches tomorrow but I called and was told they got a lot of rain and he closed early today. He said he was not sure Gulches would be open tomorrow. I told him we were a little over 2 hours away and he said not to try to come tomorrow then.

Just thought I would let you know. We are thinking of going to Mountain City now. Anybody up for that?

Figures, gotta make some calls looks like we will moving up to mtn city then.
 
We all had a great time up in mtn city, a bit damp and cool but we covered a lot of ground and fun. Mike nice to meet you and your wife , thanks for showing us around. Let us know next time you head out, I'll drop you a line next time we head out. May try the gluches in a couple weeks.
 
didnt know that was your group....i was in the silver cj. Pretty much ran it all saturday. We rode a bit friday nite, awesome weather, brad4046 flopped his green yj on its side at the waterfall.

Ahh, do hooters chicks dig you? lol Sorry I would have introduced me and my crowd if I'd known. What happened to the xj with you guys, we saw you leave out and like 5 mins later your back. Got any pics of the flop? We all pretty much motored up it once we stopped trying to crawl it like last time. We'll be back soon, once it dries up and warms up a little.
 
i had a great time saturday, cold, wet, and muddy (not exactly awesome weather in a buggy) but still had a blast. eric it was fun wheelin with all of ya'll again. were gonna have to make a habit of that this year. anyway i hope everyone made it home ok and i wish jody the best of luck gettin that sandy vagina fixed before the next trip. see ya

yeeppp.....the xj broke a front axleshaft friday nite, and he decided to three wheel it for the day, got to the one of the creek crossings before welder and the dshaft flange on the 8.8 rear axle let go. There are a couple of pics of the flop, just gotta wait on them to get emailed to me. I tried the waterfall again after you guys left, im just gonna hafta grow some balls and hit it with some speed. Everytime i try to crawl it i get into trouble. I burned the alt. out winching over it. And also bent the pass rear spring when i drove into the ground after picking up the front tires. It was a pucker factor. Im heading back in two weeks.
