Federal Agent Escort on 77 today? Every bridge had Leo saluting

I was driving southbound on 77 and starting around the NC/VA state line every single bridge had a fire truck or paramedics or cops lined up across it- with the officers out of their cars facing south looking at northbound traffic (a lot holding American flags). Every bridge.... For hours.

Finally I see a full motorcade flying northbound on 77 (north of mooresville) made up of a half dozen police cars, grand Cherokees, pick ups, and two grey blacked out vans. Every vehicle with their blue lights on and all with a star on the side.


Anyone know the story?
 
USo Marshall shot in the line of duty. Funeral in GA being transported to VA to Arlington.

I saw that over 85 throughout Gastonia. I called the local PD and the phone operator was clueless, said it was for a toy run. I was cursing them up and down for the cluster-fuck it made traffic for a toy run because it wasn't logical. How were they going to get toys by blocking traffic everywhere? Now it all makes sense. RIP, sir.

I81 north last night had trucks up on the bridges caused multi car pileup bc va drivers are incompetent ad can't maintain control of vehicles when lights are flashing... Sad to hear, he's in a much better place now tho!
