Any of you guys ever run them. Good or bad experiences? They are brand new. I've got a good friend buying a truck from a guy that has them on it and he wants at's so I was thinking about trading with him.

This weekend I noticed several trucks running the Line Mountain race with them. Look pretty cool, seemed to do well.
I have no feedback on manner etc, I'm equally curious about them.
 
Put a used set of 285's on my XJ awhile back. I'm happy with them so far. Haven't got to try them out on any rocks yet but did get them in some mud this weekend and they did fine.
 
They are a good looking tire, but I have heard nightmare stories from them on quite a few GM and Dodge forums with the tread separating and blowouts. But of course as with anything you only hear the bad experiences, not the good ones so you never know if it was just a few isolated cases, or if the owner was running them overloaded or underinflated, either way it was enough to steer me away.
 
I had a set of used 31x10.5x15s and ran them for quite a while and they did great had little road noise did fine on wet roads good in mud grass.. etc. But unfortunately before I had them wore down to about 1/4th inch or so they blew holes in the sidewall...
 
My brother-in-law has a set on his YJ. No complaints, so far, he uses the jeep as a hunting truck and part time trail rig. I think he told me they were 10 ply, don't know if this is true or not.
