I know this doesn't qualify as a 4x4 subject but this is the first car I've owned and have no idea about rolling fenders (bare with me).

I live in Asheville, NC and I need to roll my fenders as soon as possible. I have a 2002 WRX. I just installed coilovers and Tuesday I'll be putting on 18x9 +35 Rota G Force wheels with a 255/35R18 tire. I would like to get my rear (and most likely front) fenders rolled. If anyone has a roller I can rent for a day, that would be perfect. Also, if anyone in the area rolls fenders (since I might not be able to find one to rent) please let me know what you would charge to do my front and rear fenders.

I did alot of work to a Porsche GT3. Took an old baseball bat, flattened and rounded the end, put a t handle on the other end. Put the car in neutral, wedged it in there and pry as you're rocking the car back and forth. Little at a time so you don’t crack the paint. Greased the end of the bat also.

Had to trim metal and plastic inside the fenderwells for clearence, also had to trim and shorten the front turn signal/marker lights about 1".

Eastwood has a pretty sweet tool for rolling fenders that's only $269. If you can't find one to rent, its probably cheaper than paying someone to do yours, plus you get a cool tool to add to the collection.

Thanks for the link. Hopefully I can find one for around $50 to rent but if not, I agree that would be a cool tool to have (that I'll hardly ever use). Thanks again man.

That's a slick looking car. I've heard a lot about the baseball bat trick. I guess that might be the option I have to go with.

Baseball bat trick works, my old stock height 2wd Dakota would catch the fender lip on a hard compression while just normal driving when I swapped to 265/70R16s, so I used a ratchet strap to compress the suspension down far enough to use a bat to roll the lips, worked for me, no longer hit the fender lips.

Not that it matters with the heat out there now, but I made sure to do it on a hot sunny day so there would be less chance of cracking the paint.

Good to know. Thank you.

seen a post on craigslist were a guy was offering this service. was like 50 a fender or something.

I searched for this but couldn't find anything.

A nice hard wood axe handle would probably work also. Taper the end like a flat chisel and round up the edges.

I do it with the car on the ground rocking it back and forth with a buddy. Pry a little each time, to much and you'll bust paint.

Some people do it with the car jacked up and spin the tire back and forth, need to use wider part of bat this way.

If this is your 1st car PLEASE practice on someone's beater honda or something first to get the feel for it.

Also make sure stuff inside the fenders is not hitting the larger tire, you don't want to cut down a brand new tire on an inner fender trim screw head.

Hey guys, I rolled chris' fenders on his wrx. No hack jobs here! Let me know if anyone needs it done. You can call/text me at 980-621-4069. Thanks, Jonathan

Here's my ad.

Are you tired of your tires rubbing the fenders? I can professional roll your fenders to fix this problem. This will allow you to lower your car more and run wider wheel/tire combo. You will be able to run a flush setup. I can come to you or you can come to me. Price may slightly vary pending your location and vehicle. Email me with your application and contact information and I will get back to you with a quote. I usually charge around $60 for 2 fenders. Currently I can only do 4 lug and 5 lug. I will be able to do 6 lug applications soon.
Thanks
