Does anyone know if the bondo fiberglass resin will hold up chemically to repair a gas tank? I don't think there's enough JB weld at advance to fix these holes and my friend doesn't have the money to fork out for a new tank yet. Just curious.

OK, I'm stupid, what comes with a fiberglass tank. I've just seen poly and steel. But, I used to do alot of glass work on inground tanks and such. If you're hard up I'd try some tiger hair (the bondo with the glass strands in it), it'll won't crack out as bad as pure bondo.

there is a gas tank repair kit that has a 2part epoxy and small (about 2x4") piece of glass cloth. it costs about $11, and is avail at most part stores. WORKS GREAT!!
