Well the story on the truck, Dad bought it the year after i was born so its been in the family for 20 years...he drove it on the hwy up until 1999 (was the hunting truck) he parked it and in 2000 i talked him into letting me Mud race with it (i was 10 at the time) truck was stock 351M on 32's well after bout 2 years i lost intrust for the time, so it was again parked in 02 and wasent touched until 08, so I pulled it out and drug it to the shop, drained the oil (got bout 2 gallons of water out the oil) new filter, oil and some mystery oil in the clynders and a hot battery and rebuilt the carb and it ran pretty good, so eventuly bout a set of 38's and it was a 1 gear wonder with 38's and a stock 351m but it still got muddy!

anyways raced it that way for a little over a year until the urge to build a BBF hit hard...

so picked up a 72 for $400 Lincoln (it was wrecked) striped the 460 C6 and the rear 9" and sold the car for scrape made $350 back off of it... I tossed the D2 heads for a set of Doves threw some new Bearings in the engine put a .550 lift cam matched springs alum intake and a 850 demon

ended up shattering the spiders in the front and welded them to make a race, and ended up breaking the long side shaft, ringing the pinion off which dropped into the housing shattering the ring gear which locked the front totaly slinging the wheel hard to the right where i hit the wall and was shot back across the pit steering wheel all the way back to the left and broke my wrist since it was caught in it..

So since i needed a new carrier i bought the series 4 and scored a set of 4.11 gears for free and replaced the Shafts with Cromo's also added a 2500 stall

and then it ran good until May 2010 when i windowed the Block on this pass

at the Time work sucked (we ran a family owned construction company) and so the truck got put to the side yet again then i got a job on MCAS Cherry Point last January so i started picking up parts this time i went with a 429 bought a set of .030 flat top pistons got a .650ish lift cam me and a buddy are putting it together so right now the blocks been bored and the rotating assembly's been balanced, we've done a Max port on the D0ve heads got a torker II intake to go on it carb spacer and the same 850 demon is getting re jetted, so now were assembling to see how much the block can be decked and how much the heads can be cut (shooting for 13:1 compression) and ive also picked up a 3500 Stall convertor for this build

parts left to buy are push rods once we see how long are needed, a set of 2" primary and 4" collector headers and a electric water pump

But also in the mean time I decided i wanted to fix up the Rust in the body and get it all 1 color again so heres some pics of that...

all the bondo work done and the truck primmed

did the final wet sanding and hit it with some clear coat, also swapped out the back 38x12.5x15 TSL's for a set of 38.5x15x15 Boggers

and now im building a rear pull bumper for it, 1/2" plates that are bolted and welded to the chassis, where a piece of 3/8" box tube is welded to it, and a military grade shackle is bolted with a 1/2" ubolt and welded to the box tubing, but i hope not to use it to much

I like it... you know where theres a cab just like what you've got?

Trail riding is more my thing, but it looks fun nonetheless. Looks like it would get rowdy in a mud pit :huggy:

i grew up around mud trucks and mudbogs mid-state mudbogg in batesburg sc was 5min from my house, i always liked trail ridin for some reason but i dont pass up mud holes either
