Well the wife finally talked me into buying a truck. Its a Dodge 2500 quad cab 4x4 SLT 35K miles only has the 5.7l hemi in it but should be more then enough to tow my jeep. Now I've got a garage to work in and a tow rig all I need is a cheap trailer and a welder and I'll be set. Other then a brake controller what else should I look at getting before towing it's got the towing package?
Know of any cheap 14 or 16' trailers?
Are the transmission coolers big enough on the 2500s?
What are the factory hitches rated at I didn't see it anywhere in the manual and the hitch has no writing at all on it?
Any problems I should look out for?

sweet!

Did she 'talk you into it' or 'give you permission' ? ;)

The hemi will have plenty of power to pull whatever you need to. Be sure to report back what kind of real world fuel mileage you see with it.

Cheap (and good) car trailers are a truly rare bird. Keep an eye out on craigslist / Iwanna and be ready to jump on it and grab it in a hurry when you do see it! If you find someone with two of them be sure to let me know as well!

Congrats on the new rig, enjoy it!
