I always hated making my bed. Thought it was the dumbest thing, to go through all that work knowing it would be undone in 12 hours. So I'd only do it when it got to where everything was untucked and my feet stuck out.

So now here's the proof that every last teenager has been waiting for, that making your bed every morning is actually a bad idea.

The Reason Scientists Say You Shouldn't Make Your Bed

Messy bedroom could spell end for creepy crawlies - Kingston University London

(I will admit, as an adult I now see the value in the overall habit/lifestyle of cleaning up after yourself and being tidy. But that's more of a philosophical/stylistic thing than practical.)

Scientist shmientist... watch this video I send this video to my nieces each month to remind them what their capable of doing each and everyday just by beginning with this single task!! Get it right, get it tight...

....and then everyone went out and bought a MERV 20 filter for their HVAC system and destroyed their air handler.

Dust mites are very scarce in places like Colorado, which we learned when we lived there. Funny, because the entire state is practically nothing but dust. Gray, brown, and dust.

I'm still not making my bed.... I'm a very neat, tidy, and clean person, but not making my bed doesn't bother me even the slightest little bit.

I still got my 1980s Water Bed. So I Need to cover it to keep it warm, & use less heater!
And as for sleeping in a Cool room, at 69 F., I'd Freeze! I've tried lowering the heat, & I can tell it's cold!

Since we are so far off-topic, on the subject of blankets....if you ever find yourself in the ER in winter, or even in some amberdances, ask for a heated blanket or three.

Heated blankets > sliced bread.

At least scientists have figured out how to keep feeding off the government teat.... :flipoff:

i make my bed every night when i get in it.
Every night I try to get my wife to help me (further) unmake it, but that rarely works out how I envision it

You should do some research about the latest trend in performance sleeping gear. Most of the trendy gear freaks call them "blankets".

:D
I call em footed pajamas.

Making my bed was a solid rule in my parents house, and the habit stuck with me. I wonder how frequently the sheets and mattress pad were washed in that study. We wash our sheets and mattress pad every weekend. I sweat a lot at night.

She gunna come to my house and beat me? :D My parents never made their bed either...my dad stayed drunk too much to bother with it.
