They have plants in Star NC, and Robbins NC that build these types of vehicles. Among other things also. Pretty cool stuff.

That thing in the pictures isn't an actual Growler though. I dunno what it is but it looks like a mess.

Carolina Growler used to be located in Robbins until the tax subsidies dried up, then they moved over to Star. They have two facilities here. It's purpose built to be hauled in the belly of the V-22 Osprey for the Marines. Believe it or not, it is the ONLY vehicle to be certified to fly in the Osprey. And yes, occasionally they test them out in Uwharrie.
