Just bought a 92 wrangler and wondering how bad will vibration be with 4" lift on the highway . Going to be on the street 75% of the time . Really don't want to do sye kit. first jeep I ever owned .

shouldnt be to bad. i run 4.5 with no vibes at all and i dont even run a tc drop :) but its a ckee not a wrangler. but it should vibe bad if at all.

Well damn dude, a cherokee's rear DS is like 2-3 times as long as a wrangler!

You need to lower the transfer case x-member to get your driveline angles good again since you are not going to do the SYE. Usually just add some spacers and longer bolts. Very cheap fix!

The best option is to do a SYE and new drive shaft. Since that is not an option you want to go with I would say the cheapest thing to do is a transfer case drop. Most lifts come with one I know my BDS lift did anyway. It is (like already stated) just some spacers with longer bolts that you slide in between your skid plate and frame. It lowers your Tcase back down toward the ground causing a less steep angle on the drive shaft. In a Wrangler with 4" of lift I would recommend at least a transfer case drop.

thanks for the input guys. planning on doing the t-case drop , how much do most kits drop the t- case and with the drop will their still be much vibration issues . like i said first jeep , had numerous toyota's and chevy's so jeep stuff is all new to me. Jeep is 1/2 my wifes so want to keep it street freindly. And thanks for not flaming me:beer:

should not vibe all that bad with the drop. It is possible it will still vibe a little.

definately shim the rear axle. I shimed mine and it made a difference. I almost forgot I had done that.

FWIW, I put the Old Man Emu lift on my Jeep (2.5") and had pretty bad vibes, I then put on a JKS 1.25" BL and 1" JKS MML and that took 99.9 % of them away.
