This was cut from a vehicle. Name the year and model.

From what I have found, it's gotta be a 2a, 3a, or 3b. I don't know any way to differentiate between them, or the year, just from your pic. (unless that's a factory orange that was only available in one year, I dunno on that).

"The stamping on the front of the flatfender CJ toolbox is, to my knowledge, the only true script stamping on any Willys Jeep, military or civilian.

Wasn't somebody gonna make some repops of them at one time?

Kaiser, You are all over it. It was out of my 46 2A.

I figured you would nail it. I always wondered how it got approved to go from a war era cultural and military nickname to a real stamping. Mine was serial number 0002019. Daddy in law bought it a week after he got back from WW2. He had a pto hydraulic pump that could fit where the passenger seat would go and had a bunch of neat accessories with it.

I cut one out of my 3A's toolbox and have it on my bureau in the bedroom. Its pretty cool since its the FIRST time ever that name was used.

I always thought the script was a great font, but that "P" on the end is like nothing Ive seen before.
I was just joking, because i couldn't find anything about it.
No problem. Just having fun with the good stuff.
