In the 12 years that I've lived in NC, I have yet to get out to the Outer Banks. My parents are coming down from NY and wanted to get to the beach for a week. Soooo, we are headed to Hatteras the 1st week in May. Any suggestions on what to do/where to go?

Thanks,

Marty

Big reds should be hitting the Point depending on the water temps. Stay off the dunes, obey all the closeure BS and bitch about it to every damn NPS person you see.

Things to do while at Hatteras:
Relax
Fish
Swim
Kite surf
Kayaking
Lighthouses
Take the ferry to Ocracoke.
Wright Brothers Memorial
ETC, ETC...
There are a lot of things to do around there if you are willing to drive a little. I just returned home on Sunday from two days of playing beach bum at Hatteras.

All sound like winners to me. ;) I'm pretty good at playing beach bum too.:driver:

check out www.twiddy.com for the best housing and also activities. They have a great list of links, etc for great things to do. [/shameless plug for a great guy]. I was stunned at how clean and how affordable the smaller houses are
