Fishin last weekend

Pops called up and wanted to go fishin. So he drove up for the day and we hit... hhmmm, not sure if I want to tell my favorite trout river...:flipoff2:

anyway, expecting to catch a bunch of 12-14" brookies like usual, I was caught off guard with this 18"+/-

Was at Big Snowbird this past weekend, well me and 200000000 others...:rolleyes:
 
Nice. Did you catch it on a store bought or hand tyed fly?
 
I've got about 200+ flies that I carry with me. Some I tied, some cheap 10 for $5 flies, and an assortment of good flies. This one I caught ona fly I bought about 10 years ago and hadn't used in awhile. Black Nymph Stone Fly with a Chartreuse yellow belly. I think it was one of the cheapies.
 
Man, I aint fly fished in better than 20 years. Time to get the old rod and reel out, reline and see if I can still throw a line out.
 
I did a little offshore last weekend. 6 Wahooooooos, 3 dolphins (lost a nice one:rolleyes: ) and missed a sail.
