Fishing- Morning or Evening right now?

I'm headed out this weekend for some fishing (bass, bream, catfish), just wondering when you guys are having the most luck. Morning- early? Afternoon? Late?

Plastic worm, top water? What's biting right now?
 
The mornings should still be good cooling down but the water temps are still good. Never had much luck with bass. But pan fish and cat fish will bite just about any time of day if you can find them.
 
morning right now has been the best at the lakes around raleigh. there's been some schooling action before the sun has come up. but imo if you can avoid going to mountain island i would just not go lol. never had much luck there doing stuff that i would think the bass would be eating. i would assume a small popper like a rico or splash-it or maybe even a spook jr. shakey head around the docks and laydowns once the sun comes up. and of course a fluke in the mornings around rock and then the docks once the sun gets up. i dont do bream or catfish but always seem to catch one or two when bass fishing
 
Hahaha, yep, not a lot of luck on Mountain Island. But I live on Mtn Island, so it is fairly convenient :D. I usually just wakeboard, but I haven't fished with my dad for awhile, so we decided to break out the gear this weekend.

I did catch a 4lb largemouth two summers ago, so I know there are some in there. Or maybe I caught the last one....
 
Well, we caught about 30 or so bream with 3 or 4 being big enough to fry, but we needed about 10 keepers so we turned the rest loose. My dad did bring in a large mouth that was a pound or so, but dropped it as he was loading it into the boat :D. We pretty much fly fished the whole morning and had tons of fun, that's all that really matters.
