I ran 36" Iroks on old 4.5" springs and 2" body with no problems. The 36" bias Iroks are like 36.8" according to the specs, so they are about as tall as the 37's. However, I was running fullwidth 60's and longarms.
You will have plenty of room without cutting, I wouldn't even run a 2in body lift. Maybe a 1in body lift if you want. I wouldn't go higher on the body lift than 1 though to keep your driveline straight.
thats cool, if it were me I would only run a 1in body lift. Its all he will need, lower COG, plus driveline will be at a better angle, and if he gets a MML he will be straight. I think the 44 will be fine, I think he could even get away with the 30 if he is easy on it, and is open or selectable. Tell him good luck.
not the t-case or driveshafts but the engine and radiator and if he has a manual then he could have problems getting into 2nd and 4th if he doesn't get a MML.
Ok, I see what you are saying.
Typically a MML is used to make the rear driveline angle better, since TJ's have like a 15" rear driveshaft and a 40ish inch front shaft.
