fj axle swap

question--Could I swap in a fj60 frount axle into my 85 runner without moving the spring perches? What steering compoents would I have to change?

Probably not. 60/62 axles are wider, and FJ's have different frame widths than the trucks.

You'd need a new drag link and tie-rod at the minimum, but complete axles sell for alot more $ than ones with pieces missing, so leave the minitruck stuff complete, and get a new hi-steer kit, you'll come out ahead.
