I'm sick of looking for a replacement bed for my truck and I'm seriously considering a flatbed. I'm looking for some dealers in a 500mi radius of Charlotte, NC. I need one for a SRW truck, nothing too fancy. I would love to build my own but in reality I would never take/make the time to do it.

Cook truck on harlee ave can build you any style bed you are wanting. I built them for 5 years there. Or if you are wanting it done for about half of what they charge send me a PM :)

The guy in your link has that same post in about 5 different cities and doesn't even have any of it. My camper top is the only thing holding me back from just outright buying a flatbed.

pick up a local aggriculural trader book for equipment, tractors, farming ect. plenty of flatbed dealers in those. Very reasonable to unless you want something unique or custom. Several of the big trailer sellers have flatbed lines. Trailers of the East Coast is one that comes to mind.

Buy an enclosed service body. Then you can have tool storage and a grandpa top.

Thought of that a long time ago. Besides weighing 3tons, finding a mint stock bed for $200 is more likely than finding one of those for a SRW truck.

I also believe the car trader paper magazines are no longer around. NOBODY around here has them.
